Partially based on a true story that is way too long to detail, A Different Loyalty tells the mid-20th century tale of a woman who leaves her journalist husband to pursue other avenues with a sexy freelancer by the name of Leo Cauffield (Everett).

Raising children together, everything seems peachy until Leo just plain never returns home one night. Already distraught, it doesn't help matters when Sally Tyler (Stone) is told that he is a notorious KGB spy.

Finding it hard to believe, Sally tries to track down her husband, but on her trail are a variety of secret service men who want to bring Leo to justice. Realizing that this isn't the life she wants to live, Sally must track Leo down and give him an ultimatum; her tits or the communists.
