Artur Asatryan

Music Producer

Musical and entertainment programs occupy an important part of the Public Television’s screentime, and Artur Asatryan selects and coordinates them.

Song and music form the basis of Artur Asatryan’s activity. Viola player by profession, he started his activity in the musical school of Norashen, Artashat region, then became the head of department of Yerevan State Conservatory, taught in the music school after Sayat-Nova.

Since 1995 to this day, he is the director of the State Song Theater of Armenia. He is the co-founder of Asup yearly awards, Gift yearly pan-Armenian competition-festival and other large-scale projects.

Since 1995, he has been the producer of the Armenian State Jazz Orchestra, the producer and president of “Armenian Jazz is 70” NGO.

Since 2008, he has been the music producer of Sharm Holding, at the same time producing Inga and Anush Arshakyans.

For his contribution in the development and spreading of Armenian pop and jazz music, Artur Asatryan was awarded a gold medal from the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs of the RA.

In 2011, by the decree of RA President, Artur Asatryan was awarded the title of RA Meritorious artist of culture.

Since 2015, he has been the music producer of the Public TV.
