Mark
Petrosyan
In November 1956, almost 400 people participated in the competition for employment at a newly created TV. Mark Petrosyan was chosen as Head of Music department.

He is simply called Mark by his close and far friends and acquaintances. It is convenient and understandable: "Mark's program", "Mark's saying", "Mark's book", "Mark's...". Interesting personality, spontaneous and restless, inflammable, sensitive as a child, sometimes intractable, a real professional and... a real figure of Armenian TV.

After 1957 for two years he was the author of Golden Screen program devoted to the classic music, broadcasted twice a week. In 1968 he was one of the organizers and editors of Erebuni-Yerevan 2750 anniversary program. The program was broadcasted by the Central Television in Moscow and by Intervidenia network in Eastern European countries.

He was the initiator and participated in the preparation of the film devoted to the 100th anniversary of Al. Spendiaryan, the founder of the Classic opera, the program devoted to Sayat-Nova's 275th anniversary, programs devoted to the life and works of Aram Khachatryan, Arno Babajanian, Ohan Duryan, Pavel Lisitsyan and many other great Armenian composers and musicians.

A number of diplomas and awards have been preserved, however Mark Petrosyan considers the highest award to be his friendship with such people as Aram Khachatrya, M. Rostropovich, Tariverdiev, Eduard Mirzoyan, Lusine Zakaryan, Zaruhi Dolukhanyan, Bashmet, Spivakov, Kobzon, and many others.
Mark Petrosyan is one of the beginners of Armenian TV. First, he was a sound director, music designer, then for almost 25 years, Chief editor of music program. He is one of the few, who has stayed in the TV from the first days until present.
